To consider direct award of the Consultation,
Preliminary Design and relevant surveys for the Hastings Public
Realm and Green Connections project to Arup.
Arup worked on previous design work for this project, led and
managed by Hastings Borough Council.
This project has £9.834m of funding from Hastings Town Deal
and £400k from the Local Growth Fund. This commission is
valued at £800k.
Do nothing considered during the Phase 1 and 2
business cases for the Hastings Public Realm and Green Connections
project.
Considered using the Highways Contract Framework for this phase of
work. Quote requested from BBLP, comparable figure presented with a
further 6-8 weeks required for full proposal.
Considered tendering the brief for competition. Rejected due to
time restraints of the spend of the Hastings Town Deal monies and
handover time/cost saved by continuing working with Arup.
