To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out
works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections
14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of
road;
Temporary Road Closures
Park Shaw - from the junction with C21 Brede Lane to the junction
with U6325 Orchard Way
Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 8 April & 10
May 2024.
Gorselands - for its entire length
Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 29 April & 31
May 2024.
Brede Lane - from Ivy Cottage to the junction with U6325 Park
Shaw
Diversion via C21 Brede Lane - B2244 The Street, Sandrock Hill,
Hawkhurst Road, Compasses - B2165 Cripps Corner Road - B2089 Catts
Green, Whorne Woods, Tank Hill, Chitcombe Road - A28 Cackle Street
- C21 Pottery Lane, Brede Lane and vice versa.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 25 May & 3
June 2024.
Brede Lane - from the junction with U6637 East View Terrace to the
junction with U6626 Hurst Lane
Diversion via C21 Brede Lane - B2244 The Street, Sandrock Hill,
Hawkhurst Road, Compasses - B2165 Cripps Corner Road - B2089 Catts
Green, Whorne Woods, Tank Hill, Chitcombe Road - A28 Cackle Street
- C21 Pottery Lane, Brede Lane and vice versa.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 24 June & 12
July 2024.
Hurst Lane - at its junction with the C21 Brede Lane.
Diversion via U6626 Hurst Lane - B2244 Sandrock Hill, The Street -
C21 Brede Lane and vice versa.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 24 June & 12
July 2024.
East View Terrace - from the junction with C21 Brede Lane to the
junction with P6921 Park Farm View.
Diversion via C21 Brede Lane - U6637 East View Terrace and vice
versa.
Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 10 June & 12
July 2024.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access
for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 8 April 2024 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken as detailed
above, depending upon the weather conditions.
