To allow Foxdown Construction Ltd to carry out
works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections
14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
amended, which will temporarily close the following length of
road;
Temporary Road Closure
Broad Road - from the junction with A2270 Eastbourne Road to the
junction with U7934 Oldfield Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access
for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with
an alternative route for through traffic via U7732 Broad Road
– C341 Wannock Lane – C40 Wannock Road – A2270
Eastbourne Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 24 July 2024 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 24 July
& 28 August 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.
