NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that East Sussex County
Council has confirmed the above Cycle Track Order as an unopposed
Order in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by Section 3(1)
of the Cycle Tracks Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers. The
effect of the Order which came into force on 24 October 2025
is:
1) The footpath described in the schedule to
this order is designated a cycle track over which the public have a
right of way on pedal cycles (other than pedal cycles which are
motor vehicles) and a right of way on foot.
Schedule
The section of public footpath Hastings 130 designated a cycle
track begins at Whitworth Road TQ 7963 1307 (Point A) and runs in
an east- southeasterly direction for 98.35 metres to TQ 7973 1306
at A21 (Sedlescombe Road North) (Point B).
As the Highway Authority, the Council is satisfied that the
introduction of the above proposed order will encourage the
convenient and safe movement of pedestrians and cyclists.
A copy of the Order, plans showing the length of public footpath
and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order
can be viewed during opening hours at Hastings Library, Brassey
Institute, 13 Claremont, Hastings, TN34 1HE and County Hall
Reception, St Anne's Crescent, Lewes, BN7 1UE on Monday to Friday
