To allow South East Water to carry out works,
East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1)
and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended,
which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Pound Green - from the junction with U7505 Limes Lane to the
junction with A272 The Toll.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access
for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with
an alternative route for through traffic via A272 High Street,
Station Road, Lephams Bridge Road, Buxted Road, Budletts Lane,
London Road – A26 Uckfield bypass – A22 Uckfield
bypass, Eastbourne Road, East Hoathly bypass, South Street,
Whitesmith, Holmes Hill, Golden Cross, The Dicker – A267 New
North Street, North Street, Eastbourne Road, Horam Road, High
Street, Little London Road, Cross in Hand Road, Mayfield Road,
Heathfield Road – A272 Summer Hill, Main Road, Curtains Hill,
The Toll and vice versa.
The Order commences 25 November 2025 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs
to 06:00hrs between 25 & 27 November 2025 depending upon the
weather conditions.
