To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out
works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections
14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of
road;
Temporary Road Closures
Bexhill Road / Hastings Road – from the junction with A259(T)
Glyne Gap roundabout to the junction with U3348 Lovat Mead.
Diversion eastbound via A259(T) Glyne Gap roundabout - A2036
Hastings Road, Wrestwood Road - A2691 Mount View Street - A2690
Combe Valley Way, Queensway - Whitworth Road - A21 Sedlescombe Road
North, London Road - A2102 London Road, Norman Road, Warrior Square
- A259 Grand Parade, Marina, Grosvenor Crescent, Bexhill Road and
westbound via A259 Bexhill Road, Grosvenor Crescent, Marina, Grand
Parade - A2102 London Road - A21 London Road, Sedlescombe Road

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access
for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with
alternative routes for through traffic set out above.
The Order commences 13 April 2026 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 13
April & 15 May 2026 depending upon the weather
conditions.
