Purpose:

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out carriageway surfacing works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Decision:

The Order commences 11 February 2019 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated the works will be undertaken between 11 February 2019 and 12 March 2019 depending upon the weather conditions.

Temporary Road Closure
C13 Firgrove Road/ Rosers Cross Lane - from the junction with B2102 Lewes Road to the junction with U7031 Brittenden Lane, works are a distance of 2000 metres.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic signed and maintained for the duration of the works via B2102 Lewes Road – C208 Possingworth Lane – C13 Rosers Cross Lane and vice versa.
