Agenda and minutes

1.1       RESOLVED – to confirm as a correct record the minutes of the County Council meeting held on 11 February 2020 as a correct record.

2.1       Apologies for absence were received on behalf of Councillors Charles Clark and Ungar. On behalf of the Council the Chairman sent Councillor Ungar his best wishes

3.1       The Chairman reminded all attending the meeting that holding remote meetings is a learning process for all and that the Council was endeavouring to ensure that there is continued councillor involvement in meetings.

4.1       There were no questions from members of the public.

5.1       There were no declarations of interest

6.1       The Chairman of the County Council, having called over the reports set out in the agenda, reserved the following for discussion:

Governance Committee report - paragraph 1 (Constituting panels as part of Adoption South East) and paragraph 3 (Amendments to the Constitution) 

NON-RESERVED PARAGRAPHS

6.2 On the motion of the Chairman of the County Council, the Council ADOPTED those paragraphs in the reports that had not been reserved for discussion as follows:

Governance Committee report paragraph 2 (Pay Policy Statement) and paragraph 4 (Coronavirus (Covid 19) temporary arrangements)

Paragraph 1 (Constituting panels as part of Adoption South East)  and paragraph 3 (Amendments to the Constitution)

7.1       Councillor Glazier moved the reserved paragraphs of the Governance Committee’s report.

7.2 The motions were CARRIED after debate

(b)  Written Questions of which notice has been given pursuant to Standing Order 44

8.1       The following members asked questions of the Lead Cabinet Members indicated and they responded:
