44.1     The Lead Member considered a report by the Director of Communities, Economy and Transport. 

 

DECISIONS

 

44.2     The Lead Member RESOLVED to (1) agree the programme of local transport improvements for 2019/20 set out in Appendix 1 to this report; and

 

(2) agree the allocation of County Council capital funding, development contributions and Local Growth Fund monies towards specific improvements identified in the 2019/20 programme.  

 

Reasons

 

44.3     The programme set out in Appendix 1 of the report represents a balanced programme of improvements which will help deliver not only the objectives of the County Council’s local Transport Plan but also contribute to achieving broader corporate objectives.

DECISIONS

 

45.2     The Lead Member  RESOLVED to (1) note the comments from the local consultation; and

 

(2) approve the proposal to upgrade the pedestrian crossings in Victoria Drive as set out in the report as part of the 2019/20 Capital Programme for Local Transport Improvements. 

 

Reasons

 

45.3     The road safety and accessibility improvements that the enhanced zebra crossings will bring to the local community, and the majority support for the proposals, outweigh the objections that were received during the public consultation.
