East Sussex County Council is the Scheme Manager and
Administering Authority for the East Sussex Pension Fund (the
Fund). The Pension Committee exercises on behalf of East
Sussex County Council all of the powers and duties in relation to
its functions as the Scheme Manager and Administering Authority for
the Fund except where they have been specifically delegated to
another Committee. This includes powers in relation to governance,
administration and investments of the Fund. The Pension
Committee exercises these functions in accordance with the
fiduciary duties of the Council as the Administering Authority of
the Fund.
The Pension Committee comprises five elected members
of East Sussex County Council appointed in accordance with
political proportionality rules. The Committee meets at least four
time per year.
