The Pension Board’s role is to assist the
Pension Committee in its role as scheme manager to the East Sussex
Pension Fund (the Fund). This includes commenting on the work of
the Pension Committee or making recommendations to the Committee on
all aspects of the Fund, particularly
the Fund’s governance and administration. The Board also has
a role in reporting any potential breaches of pension law to the
Pensions Regulator.
The Board is made up of an equal number of employer
and member representatives (three of each) and an independent,
non-voting chair. The Board meets four times a year in advance of
the Pension Committee.
The terms
of reference of this Board can be found in Part 3 Table 5
of the Council’s Constitution.
