12/03/2021 - The East Sussex (A271 Lower Horsebridge, Hellingly)(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020 ref: 1290    Recommendations Approved

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out drainage works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Effective from: 12/03/2021

Decision:

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2104 North Street - A267 New North Street - A22 Boship roundabout and vice versa.

The Order commenced 12 October 2020 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs between 15 & 20 March 2021 depending upon the weather conditions.

12/03/2021 - The East Sussex (B2136 Langney Road, Eastbourne)(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2021 ref: 1289    Recommendations Approved

To allow Coussens Cranes Ltd to carry out the construction of Pod build works, East Sussex County Council have made Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Decision:

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A259 Seaside – U2148 Bourne Street – B2136 Langney Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 15 March 2021 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated the road will be closed at various times/durations between 15 March and 19 September 2021. Advanced warning signs will be in place for each road closure.

05/03/2021 - The East Sussex (A2029 Market Street & U5116 Market Lane, Lewes)(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2021 ref: 1288    Recommendations Approved

To allow SGN and UKPN to install new connections, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;

Effective from: 05/03/2021

Decision:

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible. Access for Emergency Vehicles will not be affected.

The Order commences on 8 March 2021 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken consecutively between 8 & 19 March 2021 depending upon the weather conditions.
