18.1 The Leader and Lead Member considered a report by the Assistant Chief Executive.
DECISIONS
18.2 The Leader and Lead Member RESOLVED to (1) agree to delegate the functions set out in Appendix 1 to the report; and
(2) agree that the Executive Director of Adult Social Care and Health and the Director of Adult Social Care be considered Chief Officers and Directors for the purpose of delegations to officers and be delegated authority accordingly.

18.3 The Governance Committee agreed on 28 October 2020 to the establishment of a new post of Executive Director – Adult Social Care and Health. The current post of Director of Adult Social Care and Health was retained in the existing staffing structure, but renamed as Director of Adult Social Care. As a consequence the delegation of functions was reviewed.

15.2 The Leader and Lead Member RESOLVED to authorise the Director of Public Health, the Chief Executive and the Assistant Chief Executive to make a Direction (and review that Direction every seven days) in accordance with the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions)(No.3) Regulations 2020 and/or any updating legislation.

15.3 The delegation will aid in the ability for decisions to be taken in an efficient and timely manner, which is considered to be particularly important where deadlines need to be met for certain actions to be taken.
