In the East Sussex Local Transport Plan, the council recognises the benefits of cycling to health, reducing carbon emissions and reducing congestion. Money has been allocated by Active Travel England to East Sussex expressly to enable more people to walk and cycle. This ring-fenced money would be well spent on buying Cyclehoop hangars for immediate installation in car parking spaces currently offered for the purpose by HBC.
