It is now almost 8 years since the community started seeking
safer roads through Burwash. Our simple aim for the introduction of
a 20mph speed limit through the Village and priority signs at the
pinch point has been repeatedly obstructed by East Sussex County
Council Officers. Their latest ploy is to redesign the scheme with
unnecessary additional works to make it unaffordable.
This petition shows the Community’s enduring commitment to
protect this unique place and the people who live, work and visit
