Notice under The Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Meetings and Access to Information) (England) Regulations 2012

On the 16 August 2021 the County Council intends to hold a meeting of the Lead Member for Adult Social Care at which the following item will be considered: Tender Award for the Provision of Housing Related Floated Support for all adults across East Sussex.

The purpose of the item is: A decision regarding the recommended Provider for the Contract for Housing Related Floating Support for all adults across the County.

Under the requirements of Regulation 9 of The Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Meetings and Access to Information) (England) Regulations 2012 the Council is required to give 28 days notice of a key decision identified within the scope of these regulations. It is considered that item referred to above would be a key decision and for the reasons of urgency outlined below, compliance is considered impracticable, and an exception to Regulation 9 is therefore sought under Regulation 10 of the above Regulations. It is considered impracticable to comply with the requirements of The Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Meetings and Access to Information) (England) Regulations 2012 because:

Delaying the decision until the publication of the next forward plan and scheduled meeting of the Lead Member for Adult Social Care would not allow time for the new arrangements to put in place following the expiry of the current contract and as a result a decision is needed in August 2021.

Accordingly a copy of this notice shall be available pursuant to Regulation 5(6) for at least 5 clear days prior to 16 August 2021.
