Plan description

The Scheme is part of the Hailsham and Hellingly Movement and Access Strategy which sets out the mitigation measures required to support the existing/planned developments set out in the Wealden Local Plan. The cost of the scheme is greater than the development contributions originally expected to pay for the scheme. The scheme will commence construction in July 2016 and there is an imperative to deliver the scheme.

It is proposed to fund the difference in cost between slippage from the 2015/16 Local Transport capital programme, the 2016/17 capital allocation towards Local Transport improvements and maintenance capital funding.
