52.    The Members of the Panelprovidedfeedbackon recent visits to Victim SupportinShoreham and to the YouthCommissionevent.Members were impressed bythe proactive approach taken by VictimSupport and the qualityof service provided under the highlevelof demand-led pressure.Members who attended the YouthCommissioneventspoke of the energyand professionalism of the members of the Commission.

    The Commissioner was asked whethershewas in supportof theproposalto bringFire andRescueServicesinSussexunder the authorityof the Office of the Police and CrimeCommissioner.The Commissioner welcomed the debate on the proposals andstated that the decision would not be taken unilaterally and wouldonly be implementedif it was shown to be in the public interest.
