1.1  The Lead Member considered a report by the Director of Children’s Services regarding the proposed Post-16 Transport Policy Statement for the 2022-2023 academic year.

 

1.2  The Lead Member RESOLVED to approve the Post-16 Transport Policy Statement for the 2022-23 academic year.

 

Reasons

 

3.3 The County Council has carried out its legal duty to consult on the annual Post-16 Transport Policy statement. Following consultation, the proposed statement is unchanged from the draft statement.

1.1  The Lead Member considered a report by the Director of Children’s Services regarding statutory notice in respect of a proposal to lower the age range at Wivelsfield Primary School by two years to enable the governing body to provide early years provision on the school site

 

1.2  The Lead Member RESOLVED to:

1)    authorise the publication of a statutory notice in respect of a proposal to lower the age range at Wivelsfield Primary School from 4-11 to 2-11. The proposal to take effect from 1 January 2023; and

 

2)    delegate authority to the Director of Children’s Services to amend the proposal prior to its publication if required.

 

Reasons

 

5.3 The proposal to lower the age range at Wivelsfield Primary school would meet the need to provide sufficient early years places in the village and help to build on work already done by the school, ensuring a fully integrated Early Years Foundation Stage to help secure good outcomes for all children.
