Wallsend Road – 10 metres either side of the level crossing

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for light vehicles via A259 Wallsend Road – A259 Eastbourne Road – A259 Pevensey Bay Road – A259 Martello Roundabout – A259 Pevensey Bay Road – A259 Crumbles Roundabout – A259 Pevensey Bay Road – A259 Langney Roundabout – B2104 Langney Rise – B2104 Hide Hollow Roundabout – B2191 Hide Hollow – B2191 Priory Roundabout – B2191 Hide Hollow – B2191 Eastbourne Road – B2191 High Street – B2191 Castle Road – B2191 High Street – A259 Wallsend Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 7 August 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken as detailed below, depending upon the weather conditions.
