To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out
carriageway repairs, East Sussex County Council have made an Order
under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following
lengths of road;

Effective from: 04/06/2021
Decision:
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians
and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained
whenever possible.
The Order commences 7 June 2021 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken consecutively
between 7 June and 9 July 2021 depending upon the weather
conditions.

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out
carriageway recycling works, East Sussex County Council have made

The Order commences on 1 June 2021 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 1 June
& 2 July 2021 depending upon the weather conditions.

carriageway resurfacing and traffic signal upgrade works, East
Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and
15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which
will temporarily bring into force the following
restrictions:-

Decision:
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians
and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained
whenever possible.
The Order commences 2 June 2021 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
However, it is anticipated the works will be undertaken from
2000hrs to 05:00hrs between 2 June & 9 July 2021 depending upon
the weather conditions.

To allow Barkemp Construction Ltd to
facilitate junction improvements, resurfacing and road marking
works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections
14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
amended, which will temporarily introduce the following
restrictions;

Lewes
Vehicles on B2192 travelling to Lewes via B2192 to Halland –
A22 Halland to Polegate – A27(T) Polegate to Lewes
Vehicles on A26 travelling to Uckfield via A26 Cuilfail Tunnel
– A27(T) Lewes to Polegate – A22 Polegate to
Uckfield
Vehicles on B2192 travelling to Uckfield via B2192 to Halland
– A22 Halland to Uckfield
The Order commences 1 June 2021 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
However, it is anticipated restrictions will be in place as
detailed above depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow East Sussex Highways to maintain the
running lane width by utilising some of the footway and to maintain
safe traffic flow following the installation of highway protection
measures, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under
Section 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,
as amended, which will temporarily bring into force the following
restrictions:-

whenever possible with an alternative route for southbound traffic
via U3071 Ashbrook Road – U3070 Old Harrow Road – A21
Sedlescombe Road North – B2159 Battle Road.
The Order commences 1 June 2021 and lasts for a period of 18
months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
However, it is anticipated the restrictions will be in place
between 1 June & 9 July 2021.
