18/09/2020 - The East Sussex (A259 Station Approach, Newhaven)(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2019 ref: 1221    Recommendations Approved

To allow Network Rail to carry out civil engineering works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Effective from: 18/09/2020

Decision:

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic signed westbound via A259 New Road – A259 Flyover Slip on eastbound – The Drove – B&Q Roundabout – The Drove - South Way - Lewes Road - North Way – The Drove – North Quay & eastbound via A259 Drove Road – The Drove – South Way – Lewes Road – North Way – The Drove – Flyover slip off – A26 New Road.

The Order commenced 14 October 2019 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 01:00 hours on Sunday 20 September 2020 to 04:00 hours on Monday 21 September 2020 depending upon the weather conditions.

04/09/2020 - The East Sussex (A265 Straight Mile / High Street / Haremere Hill / Station Road, Etchingham / Hurst Green)(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020 ref: 1220    Recommendations Approved

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out carriageway repair works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Effective from: 04/09/2020

Decision:

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2096 Battle Road - A271 North Trade Road - A2100 London Road - A21(T) and vice versa.

The Order commences 9 September 2020 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 9 September and 9 October 2020 depending upon the weather conditions.

28/08/2020 - The East Sussex (A2102 London Road, St Leonards)(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020 ref: 1219    Recommendations Approved

To allow SGN to carry out mains replacement works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic eastbound via A259 Grand Parade – A259 Eversfield Place – A259 Verulam Place – U3160 Schwerte Way – U3160 White Rock Road – A21 Bohemia Road; westbound via A259 Grand Parade – A259 Marina – A259 Grosvenor Crescent – A259 Bexhill Road – C238 Filsham Road – U3128 The Green – U3128 Upper Maze Hill – U3134 Pevensey Road.

The Order commences 2 September 2020 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 2 September and 25 October 2020 depending upon the weather conditions.

28/08/2020 - The East Sussex (A2029 Eastgate Street, Lewes)(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2020 ref: 1218    Recommendations Approved

To allow East Sussex Highways to replace the existing pedestrian crossing and add a new crossing, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Decision:

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A26 Phoenix Causeway – A26 Brooks Road Roundabout – A26 Phoenix Causeway.
The Order commences 1 September 2020 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 1 September & 17 October 2020 depending upon the weather conditions.
