The Street Works Contract will enable East
Sussex County Council's Parking Services Team to provide an
essential ancillary sign and line maintenance service so as to
maintain safety, legality and enforceability, principally in the
County Council’s Controlled Parking Area’s in
Eastbourne, Lewes and Hastings. Reliable Maintenance Ltd, the
incumbent supplier, submitted the only bid after a compliant
procurement process.

To allow SGN to carry out mains replacement
works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections
14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road
in phases;

pavement reconstruction, inlay resurfacing and lining works, East
Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and
15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which
will temporarily close the following length of road;

East Sussex County Council’s Cabinet
approved the introduction of charging for certain non household
waste items across its network of Household Waste Recycling Sites
(HWRS) sites at the meeting held on 26 June 2018.
The charges form part of the proposals of the HWRS Service Review,
and contribute towards the savings targets identified for the Waste
Disposal Service in the Council's Medium Term Financial Plan
(MTFP).
Whilst proposed charges were covered within the Cabinet report, the
decision to set the exact charges was delegated to the Director of
Communities, Economy and Transport, in consultation with the Chief
Finance Officer.

Chargeable Waste Scheme, to be implemented across East Sussex
County Council’s HWRS network, as follows:
• Soil £4 per bag (or part bag)
• Hardcore £4 per bag (or part bag)
• Plasterboard £4 per bag/sheet (or part
bag/sheet)
• Bonded Asbestos £6 per bag/sheet (or part
bag/sheet)
• Tyres £2 per tyre (or part tyre)

NOTICE is hereby given that East Sussex County
Council have made an Order under Section 84 (1) and (2) of the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling
powers, coming into operation on 27 August 2018, which would extend
the 30 mph speed limit and introduce a 40 mph speed limit in the
following lengths of road;

A copy of the made Order, plans showing the
lengths of road and a statement of the County Council’s
reasons for proposing the Order can be inspected in Reception, East
Sussex County Council, County Hall, St Anne’s Crescent, Lewes
Monday to Friday 9am - 4pm and at Lewes Library, Styles Field,
Friars Walk, Lewes BN7 2LZ Monday 10am - 2pm, Tuesday, Friday,
Saturday 10am – 5pm and Thursday 10am - 6pm.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of
its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers
conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act of 1984, or on the
grounds that any requirement of the Road Traffic Regulation Act or
of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in
relation to the Order, may within six weeks of the date the Order
was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
